Project Overview:

Patagonia’s "Unfashionable" campaign strips away the superficial gloss of the fast-fashion industry to confront the harsh reality of consumerism. The visual narrative contrasts the manufactured world of trends with the untamed power of the outdoors. The project demanded an unapologetic sonic identity—one that grounds the viewer in the raw elements while exposing the emptiness of trend-driven culture through immersive sound design.

Deconstructing the sound

We tackled the production by blurring the lines between environmental sound design and musical composition. By carefully arranging the rhythmic elements of the Foley to act as a percussive bed, we integrated an original, driving score that organically swells with the on-screen action. The entire mix was meticulously thought out to preserve the tactile warmth and grit of these diverse biomes—from sweeping dunes and rushing rivers to dense forests and snow-capped peaks. The result is a cohesive audio experience that feels entirely grounded in the unforgiving reality of the wild.

What We Did:
What We Did:

The primary hurdle was crafting a dynamic audio landscape that could seamlessly transition between two opposing worlds. We needed to compose a score that felt intensely alive—breathing and moving in tandem with the visceral, high-energy imagery of nature. Conversely, the music and sound design also had to pivot to capture the heavy, rigid, and lifeless atmosphere of the fashion industry moments. Striking this balance required deep audio perception to ensure the transitions flowed smoothly, carrying the emotional weight of the narrative.
