Aspen Snowmass is more than a world-class resort; it’s a celebration of winter sports in all its forms. The campaign required a dynamic sonic identity to unite diverse experiences—from the high-octane thrill of extreme athletes to the serene majesty of the mountain. We bridged these worlds through an adaptable score and hyper-real sound design, layering custom FX over practical Foley to capture the sheer adrenaline and tactile reality of the slopes.

The primary hurdle was navigating the drastic shift in visual pacing. The footage transitions abruptly from the high-octane energy of extreme skiing to serene, slow-motion shots and childrens and families. The goal was to compose a score capable of dropping its kinetic momentum to create a peaceful "breathing room," and then seamlessly recovering its driving groove without the transition feeling disjointed.

We anchored the track with a relentless rhythm, utilizing smart tempo modulations and sound design to gracefully execute the mid-video energy drop. Beyond the score, we elevated the sound design by layering synthesized FX over practical Foley. This hyper-real approach brought tactile weight to the different textures.
